GROW is born to solve a personal need.
At the age of 34 I started noticing that my hairline was receding and, like many other men, I started using Finasteride to stop it.
The medication does work, however the FDA recommended dosage caused me quite a few side effects. After consulting with a specialist he prescribed a lower dosage, but it was quite hard to remember taking the pill on specific week days and I also had no tracking progress in a comfortable way.
Since there were no apps available on the stores, I decided to create Hair Loss Control.
The app was developed using SwiftUI and uses Firebase for Data retention, Analytics and A/B testing.
I developed it in about 2 months working after my daily job and on weekends.
